Today you will request an XSEDE account that we will use next week. You need to make this request today because it takes some time to set up your account.

Follow these Steps:

1. go to https://portal.xsede.org/
2. choose "Create Account" button to request a new account:

   Organization: Swarthmore
   Department: Computer Science
   Registration Key:  just use the first 6 chars of your swarthmore user 
   name (ex.  tnewha is mine)
   

3. When you have a choice to enter a user name, please pick your swarthmore user name (ex. tnewhal1 is mine).

After these steps it will take a couple days to get your account set up.
