Presentation Guidelines
Prepare a 6-7 minute presentation that will be given in class on
Thursday, February 25. If you are working with a partner, both
partners must give a portion of the presentation. Be sure to practice
your presentation and make sure that you will not run over time.
Given the short time slot, your presentation should include 3-5
slides that address the following points:
- What is the goal of your project? What is your hypothesis?
What do you expect the results to be?
- Describe the task, environment, and robot(s). Show a picture of
the world and robots when appropriate.
- Describe the initial neural network that NEAT will evolve. How
many inputs and outputs will it have and what do they represent? Be
specific. Be sure to consider how you will scale sensor values
for robot related tasks.
- What is the fitness function? Will you randomize the starting
conditions? How many trials will you run for each fitness evaluation?
How many generations will be executed for your experiments?
Email your presentation to me by Wednesday at 3pm.
