I'm writing to ask your help promoting a job opportunity. I recently took a job as the VP of Strategic Partnerships at the Santa Fe Institute. Essentially, I'm building a program that (i) figures out the implications of complex systems theory on policy, strategy and organizational decision-making, and (ii) educates executives in this area. I want to hire an associate into my group, and I'd love to interview some Swarthmore students. I've spoken with the Career Center and they've arranged for me to do an info session at 7PM on Monday, Feb. 6. It should be fun; in addition to selling the job, I'll touch on the implications of complexity theory for decision-making and social science more generally. I will conduct on-campus interviews the next day. The idea is for interested candidates to email me their resumes after the info session. I'll then put together an interview schedule and email the students back before midnight. I know it's a compressed timeline, but I'm slotting this in between my other East Coast meetings. I've attached a job description below, I'd appreciate it you'd circulate to any graduating seniors you think might be interested. The position would be ideal for someone who mixed a CS degree with a dual (or honors major/minor) in a social science.
