Hello!

Syon Bhanot, a professor in the Economics department, is looking for a
student to do some work with a SQL database dump related to his
research. The initial work is fairly straightforward: loading a SQL
dump into a database and extracting some of the data in CSV format.
There is a considerable amount of data, though, and some of the work is
likely to involve finding the parts of the data which are of interest to
the research project. This isn't likely to be a large time commitment,
but it's a good opportunity to work with real data (especially if you
have an interest in Economics) and could potentially lead to other
work. Also, it's a student job so, y'know, money. :)

If you have knowledge of databases and are interested in this job (or if
you have questions about what it entails), please contact Syon Bhanot
(sbhanot1 at swarthmore.edu); I'm also happy to fill in any blanks I can.

Cheers,

Zach
