I am the Director of the newly launched Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Quantitative Biosciences (QBioS) at Georgia Tech: http://qbios.gatech.edu The QBioS PhD program includes more than 45 program faculty from 7 different Schools in the College of Sciences. The mission of QBioS is to educate students and advance research in understanding principles underlying the dynamics, structure, and function of living systems. The QBioS PhD is currently welcoming applications from students to start their doctoral training in Fall 2016. The deadline for applications is December 15, 2015 with detailed information available here: http://qbios.gatech.edu/prospective-student/overview I invite you to share this email and the attached flyer to students in your local communities. We welcome applications from students from diverse backgrounds, including those with training in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering and the biosciences. To this end, I am organizing a recurring series of online chats with prospective students. The next two chats take place this Friday, November 13. Students can register to participate here: 11/13 - 9:00AM EST - QBioS at Georgia Tech Program Chat http://goo.gl/forms/wCOLBqNQVx 11/13 - 4:00PM EST - QBioS at Georgia Tech Program Chat http://goo.gl/forms/N0E4L597c6 Many thanks in advance for sharing news of our initiative.
