Subject: University of Rochester Open House for Prospective Graduate Students
	in Biostatistics

   Dear Program Director,

I am writing to bring to your attention an event that might be of interest
to students in your undergraduate or Master's program. The Department of
Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the University of Rochester is
hosting an Open House for prospective graduate students on Saturday,
September 26, 2015. The global demand for professionals and

academics with advanced training in the statistical sciences is extremely
strong and continues to grow. This event will provide students
potentially interested in graduate study in biostatistics and statistics
with an opportunity to learn about our programs, to meet with current
students, faculty, and program alumni, and to gain some perspective on the
many career opportunities this exciting field has to offer.

I would be most grateful if you could please post the attached
announcement and inform your colleagues and potentially interested
students of this opportunity. For more information, students may contact
our Graduate Coordinator, Cheryl Bliss-Clark at
URBiostat at urmc.rochester.edu or 585-275-6684, or visit our website,

   http://www.urmc.rochester.edu/biostat/events/prospective-student-open-house/open-house-2015.cfm.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

   Sincerely,

   Robert Strawderman, Sc.D.

Chair, Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology

   University of Rochester
