She is seeking a Swarthmore intern for this fall (they could work remotely). Would you mind passing the opportunity along to CS students? Thanks! Kathleen Posting: A Swarthmore alum at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars' Serious Games Initiative is looking for a Swarthmore student interested in a part-time internship designing an energy policy and science Serious Game. Depending on the intern's interests and what project needs are most pressing, the intern might: examine prior games and simulations about energy and climate; research how games can spur and measure cognitive change; assist in the design of prototypes; code. Computer science students interested in games or with backgrounds in energy science related fields (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, and Environmental Science), energy policy related fields (Environmental Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, History), Education, or Cognitive Science are especially encouraged to apply. Minimum commitment: 2 hours/week. Work can be done remotely. Internship is unpaid. If interested please contact Diane Tucker at: Diane.Tucker at wilsoncenter.org. ----- End forwarded message ----- -- Lisa Meeden Swarthmore College Chair, Computer Science 500 College Ave. meeden at cs.swarthmore.edu Swarthmore, PA 19081 www.cs.swarthmore.edu/~meeden 610-328-8565
