Hi Lisa,

Could you pass this along to the job opp list?

http://www.brookings.edu/about/employment/internship/2013/gov13031

The Center for Technology Innovation is currently accepting applications for an Undergraduate Research Intern for the summer of 2013 (one position). This is a full-time, resident position that will last for the duration of the summer, although exact starting and ending dates are flexible. Please note that all internships are unpaid.

The intern will assist scholars in ongoing research projects, with substantial opportunities for independent research. Projects for the summer could include, but are not limited to: cybersecurity and information security; digital identity infrastructure; privacy; health IT; and spectrum use. Duties will include summarizing technical research and specifications, studying technical standards, attending other Washington DC events and supporting Brookings Fellows. There may be a very small amount of administrative work as well.

Qualifications

Undergraduate students (typically upperclassmen) or recent graduates with a technical background in computer science, information science or other IT-related engineering fields and an interest in public policy are encouraged to apply. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication, time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to synthesize technical details from multiple sources.
