Do you know server-side code and databases like yosemitebear knows double rainbows? Do you only want to work for companies who are actually trying to improve the world, rather than just make a quick buck? Zindagi (onezindagi.com) is an early-stage startup based in San Francisco whose goal is to increase financial literacy in middle and high school kids. We're about to start programming our first product, a budgeting module that uses game metrics to help motivate kids, and we need some help. If you are a current student or an alum with some free time, we're looking for a programmer or two to help us build out the system. The internship will be unpaid, but will offer you valuable experience working for a small company on the ground floor. Star applicants must have knowledge of server-side programming and databases plus the ability to learn and adapt quickly. The code will be written in Python using a framework called web2py, as well as Javascript using jQuery. Communication skills are critical, being in the Bay Area is not.
