Role Description

A Feed Adminstrator at Cartera is at the front line of our feed
processing activities, working to support the daily processing of a
large, complex, high-availability site with millions of users.
Day-to-day duties will include care and feeding of the file processing
applications as well as support of development and customer care in
their efforts.  Process improvement, design and documentation will also
feature heavily, and opportunities for growth are copious in our
rapidly-expanding company.

Minimum Requirements:

2-5 years of experience with a Unix command line at a user level
Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of two years of relevant work
experience required Comfort with SQL in some sort of relational database
(MySQL preferred) Experience with scripting and debugging in languages
such as sh, bash, perl, php, ruby Must be available to work the
occasional weekend and handle 24/7 pager-based oncall duties one week
out of three

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Feeds processing experience a plus Additional relevant training
courses (from colleges, universities, conferences or corporate) are a
plus A working knowledge of basic networking concepts, related to file
transfer and related connectivity in particular.  Must have the ability
to learn, grasp and retain a variety of procedures and information and
be able to effectively apply this knowledge on a daily basis.  Must be
focused, energetic and reliable and have unimpeachable integrity.  Have
strong problem solving and analytical skills, along with a strong sense
of ownership.  Have ability to work in a team environment and
effectively work with diverse groups.  Communicate effectively in both
written and oral form.
