Diego Diego Fernandez-Duque Associate Professor Psychology Department Villanova University -------------------------------------------------------------------- Laboratory Technical Coordinator -- Psychology The Department of Psychology at Villanova University seeks applicants for the position of Laboratory Technical Coordinator. This position reports to the Chairperson of the department. Responsibilities include: Developing, updating, and maintaining computer programs and equipment for research and instruction in psychology; training students and faculty on the use of programs and equipment systems within the department; assisting and providing support with respect to other tasks involving the use of technology. Requirements include: Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in psychology, computer science or related field; 1 to 2 years experience in IT area or in research in psychology or related field; proficiency in computer programming with a high-level language; proficiency with Visual Basic desirable but not necessary; proficiency with standard computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite); familiarity with specialized research-related software (e.g., E-Prime, MATLAB) and hardware (Eyelink eyetracking system) useful but not necessary; strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritize jobs; excellent oral and written communication skills.
