Greetings, Erik and Lynne,

I hope all is well at Swarthmore. Mark Piper and I got to meet Rebecca
Chopp last week in Denver on her listening tour, and were very impressed
by her.

I've been working here at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since
August 2008, developing the Solar Advisor Model simulation software for
solar technologies. It's a free downloadable application that combines
complex performance models for photovoltaic and concentrating solar power
plants with economic analysis to determine the feasibilty and impact of
potential projects as well as help the Department of Energy allocate
research dollars meaningfully to have the greatest impact.

Anyhow, my supervisor and I are on the lookout for any talented
engineering and/or computer science seniors who may be looking for
employment in renewable energy analysis. There is a lot to do here and a
lot to learn, and so far NREL has been quite fun. Strong computer
programming skills are essential to our needs (especially C/C++ and
Fortran), since there are so many new capabilities we need to add to our
modeling tools in short order,

If you know of any students who might be interested in something like
this, please have them email me directly without hesitation.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Aron
