Thank you, Brianna Goodale Research Assistant Judge Baker Children's Center Harvard Medical School 53 Parker Hill Ave. Boston, MA 02120 RESEARCH ASSISTANT- Judge Baker Children's Center, Harvard Medical School Currently seeking a full-time research assistant to play an active role in dataset management and analyses on major psychological studies. Primary projects will be (a) a multi-site clinic-based effectiveness trial of CBT for youth depression, anxiety, and conduct problems, and (b) an extensive meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials for treatments of children and adolescents. The position will be based at Judge Baker Children's Center, Harvard Medical School, with Dr. John Weisz and colleagues. Specific responsibilities may include: managing relational databases housed in Access, building queries and writing syntax in Access and statistical programs (e.g., SAS, SPSS), basic data analysis, and data entry. In addition to supervision on specific tasks, research assistants receive broader training in conducting psychological treatment research. Opportunities also exist for presenting research at conferences. A successful applicant will have (a) a B.A. or B.S. in computer science, or significant experience in computer science or a related field, (b) an interest in psychological research, (c) proficiency in Microsoft Access, SPSS, or similar programs, (d) strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, and (e) superior academic qualifications (i.e., GPA >= 3.5, SAT cumulative scores >= 1850). Full-time positions begin June 2010 (start date negotiable).
