Subject: Plan 9 Google Summer of Code projects

Hey guys,

The Plan 9 organization is currently soliciting applications for Plan 9
projects as part of Google's Summer of Code program.

Ideally we're interested in students, primarily undergraduate, interested
in doing a summer research project developing for the Plan 9 or Inferno
operating systems from Bell Labs(http://plan9.bell-labs.com/plan9/).
Students can propose their own projects or take one from a list of ideas
provided by the Plan 9 community(http://gsoc.cat-v.org/ideas/). Interested
students can submit proposals and apply using the google web application at
http://socghop.appspot.com/. Applications are due on 4/3 at 12pm(noon)
pacific standard time.

In return for working on the project(students are expected to work full
time on the project over the summer) students will receive a stipend of
$4500 with the payment of portions of the stipend coming with the
successful delivery of parts of the project.

Best regards,

Noah Evans
