Subject: REU possibilities at Washington University in St. Louis

Dear Prof. Newhall,

I am writing you in regard to a summer research program for undergraduate
students (REU) offered at Washington University in the Department of
Computer Science and Engineering. Washington University in St. Louis offers
a reach research environment in various disciplines, ranging from computer
vision, robots, imaging sensors and other areas. The Department of Computer
Science and Engineering is looking to hire about a dozen of undergraduate
students for summer research projects. The students will be actively
involved in cutting edge research and will be financially compensated for
their summer research work.

We are interested in building more of a relationship with Swarthmore
College, and at looking at ways to bring more of your students here as REU
students and, ultimately, as PhD students. We'd like to use this summer's
effort as a first step in that process. Any interested students should
contact me (Viktor Gruev email:vgruev@wustl.edu) or other faculty members in
the CSE Department (http://www.cse.wustl.edu).

Thank you for your time and I look forward hearing from you.

Best regards,

Viktor
