*Responsibilities*

   Consult with VP of Engineering to define IT strategy for the company.

   Implement new systems as the company grows.

   Select and manage relationships with hardware and software vendors.

   Manage corporate infrastructure, including systems, networks,
   telecommunications, and backups.

   Provide general support to internal onsite and remote end-users.

   Coordinate with engineering, technical support, sales, and field services
   to understand IT requirements.



*Qualifications*

   -

   BS in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent
   experience.
   -

   Three or more years experience as a hands on administrator of a variety
   of technologies.
   -

   Windows, Exchange, and Active Directory administration
   -

   Unix administration: Linux (Debian, Red Hat) is required; Solaris is a
   plus.
   -

   Script programming: at least one of Perl, Python, Bash.
   -

   Experience with the following technologies:
   -

      VMware Server and Java Application Servers
      -

      Network management, including DNS/DHCP, routing, VLANs/QoS, VOIP,
      firewalls
      -

      Network-attached storage, iSCSI
      -

      E-mail processing and filtering: sendmail, anti-virus/anti-spam
      -

      Single sign-on and directories: LDAP, Kerberos, Hesiod
       -

   Experience with these additional technologies is a plus:
   -

      Jabber, Confluence, Jira
      -

      Revision control (subversion)
      -

      System and network monitoring: snmp, mon
      -

      HP ProCurve, Cisco, and SonicWall network appliances



The position is based in Lexington, MA with little or no travel.

On-call support for unscheduled downtime is required, but should be
infrequent.
