Subject: PhD Program Annoucement in Science & Technology Policy @ Georgia
	Tech

!!PLEASE DISTRIBUTE WIDELY!!

Are your science & engineering students looking to get into science &
technology policy?

Georgia Tech now offers a PhD Program in International Affairs, Science,
and Technology.

If any of your undergraduate or masters students are interested in a
pursuing a PhD at a program which specializes in S&T politics and policy,
then please alert them of this new opportunity. Any science/engineering
majors (especially those pursuing a political science, policy, or economics
minor) would be a good fit for this program.

The department?s faculty includes political scientists, physicists,
chemists, computer scientists, and policy experts from across a wide
spectrum of issue areas and regional specialties. Students will also be
encouraged to incorporate faculty from the various science & engineering
departments at Georgia Tech into their dissertation committees.

We are looking for a few good women and men to comprise the student body
of a relatively small, but elite, program. Our goal is to admit three to
five outstanding candidates each year and to provide them with generous
financial support during their studies at Georgia Tech. The ideal
candidate has a background - or compelling interest - in a field of
science and technology, and possesses the desire to explore issues at the
nexus of science, technology, and international affairs.
