This interdisciplinary program draws on linguistic theory (phonology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics) and computer science (artificial intelligence, theory of computation, and programming methods). Previous experience in computer programming or linguistics, although helpful, is not necessary. The MA provides a solid foundation for professional work in the field of computational linguistics or pursuit of a PhD in computational linguistics and theoretical linguistics. For more information, please visit the Computational Linguistics website, http://clicks.gotoextinguisher.com/v/?u=68dac8621ee8df47b26ea8f665cd71b0&g=853&c=1079&p=e7072729dd1545545e50139c9fc95580&t=2. Thank you very much in advance for helping us to spread the news about this exciting new program. Should you - or your students -have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Director of the Computational Linguistics program, Dr. James Pustejovsky, at jamesp@cs.brandeis.edu, or contact us.
