Research Assistant

The Translational Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Lab at the University of
California Davis is seeking applicants for full time research assistant (RA)
positions, with at least one position starting in Jan. 2008. The main focus of
the lab is the investigation of cognitive control mechanisms implemented by the
prefrontal cortex. The RAs will be working in a dynamic and friendly
environment on a variety of projects involving MRI and EEG studies with
healthy and psychiatrically ill subjects. The scope of responsibilities is
broad and may include subject recruitment and clinical characterization, MRI
and EEG experiment implementation, data processing and data analysis.
Experience with neuroimaging and computer programming is helpful but not
necessary. This position would be ideal for individuals who will be applying
for medical school or graduate studies in neuroscience or cognitive psychology.
We are looking for a two-year commitment. We offer a competitive package of
salary and benefits, including reduced tuition for courses at UC Davis. More
information about the lab is available on line at http://carterlab.ucdavis.edu.
Applications, including a cover letter, CV, list of relevant course work,
including GPA, and references should be sent to Dr. Jong Yoon MD, Class of
'90, at jhyyoon@ucdavis.edu.

Jong H. Yoon, MD
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry
