The NSF has provided the University of Pittsburgh School of Information Sciences (SIS) with funds to support students seeking a Master's Degree in Information Science or Telecommunications with a concentration in Information Assurance and Security under the Federal Cyber Service Scholarship for Service (SFS) Program. A nomination form as well as a flyer with details of the Program is attached for your convenience. You will also be receiving a packet of information in the mail within the next week or so. Our goal is to collaborate with a select group of institutions that we believe will provide strong candidates for our program. As most students are now beginning to make plans relative to the pursuit of a graduate degree and to maximize the opportunity to reach as many of the top students in the related fields, I ask that you begin thinking about nominees today and return the attached nomination form within one week to joannk@sis.pitt.edu by e-mail, or by US postal mail to the address below. We will then follow-up with your students to supply them with information on the Program and to obtain the necessary application. More information can be found on our website - http://www.sis.pitt.edu/~lersais/. Thank you for your time and attention to this request. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, James Joshi, PhD Graduate Program in Information Science & Technology Director, Laboratory for Education and Research 706 IS Building 135 N.
