Dear Professor,

Hello! I hope this email finds you well. My name is Kristin Elia and I
am a Campus Organizer for New Jersey Community Water Watch. Our
organization is a project of AmeriCorps and New Jersey PIRG (Public
Interest Research Group), working to improve the water quality in NJ
through several different campaigns and solutions.

I am writing because we are posting job opportunities for graduating
seniors and I am sending an email to all department chairs at
Swarthmore in hopes that you all may be willing to send them to your
senior listserv. We are looking for students from all departmental
majors, backgrounds, and interests who are looking to make a
difference and tackle pressing environmental issues with practical
solutions. Anyone who may be interested may contact me and apply for a
position through me. I have pasted the letter that I have written
addressing graduating seniors below and you may email this to them.

I appreciate your help in posting the opportunities and in helping us
find dedicated and committed students willing to make a difference.
Please let me know if you will be willing to send this information out
to your senior students, by responding to this email. If you have any
questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Kristin Elia

Dear Seniors,

As spring semester pushes on, you are no doubt trying to decide what
you will do next year. I want to let you know more about an
opportunity in the environmental field working with New Jersey
Community Water Watch.

New Jersey Community Water Watch is a joint project of the New Jersey
Public Interest Research Group (NJPIRG) and AmeriCorps, the domestic
service program. This year we are hiring 10 graduating college
students to join our program and work to tackle one of the most
pressing environmental issues in New Jersey: water pollution.

As a member of New Jersey Community Water Watch you will work on a
college campus as an organizer, educating and activating both the
campus and general community around their local water quality issues.
In the process, you?ll learn about environmental issues, how you can
make an impact on them, and how to organize others around your
campaign. From recruitment and training, to developing strategies and
researching problems, to developing leadership skills and serving as a
role model, you learn basic skills that are applicable towards many
career paths.

We are currently accepting applications. For more information, check
out our website:

Details of the job are there, as well as application instructions.
You may also feel free to contact me at:
cookdouglass@waterwatchonline.org. As a second year organizer, I am
happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our available
positions.

Sincerely,

Kristin Elia
