I don't know anything about this group. They do seem to
be quite impressed with themselves. Caveat Emptor.

Subject: Terrific INTERNSHIPS in computer science

Terrific INTERNSHIPS in computer science:

U.S. News and World Report says our students "Would make the founders
weep with joy." The Chicago Tribune says for trusted information
"there's no better place to start" than with the interns at Project
Vote Smart. The New York Times says, "Research experts nearly all
recommend Project Vote Smart."

After 16 years of testing and the effort put in by over 6000 interns,
Project Vote Smart is about to announce the nation's first Voter's
Self-Defense System just in time for what many feel will be the
nation's most dramatic and important presidential elections.

The Project has internship openings in the Information Technology
Department. We are seeking applicants to assist the IT department in
maintaining the office workstations, servers and network, as well as
take part in continued development of the Project's website and
application. Responsibilities will include: technical support, website
development in PHP and HTML, application development in Java and JSP,
network and system administration. The ideal candidate will be
comfortable working in a Unix environment, experienced with website
development, and have some familiarity with Java and JSP.

All internships come with a full-scholarship paying for all room and
board at one of the most extraordinary private retreats in the nation
and $500 stipend upon acceptance. The Project's Great Divide Ranch
retreat research center is nestled high amongst the peaks of the
Montana Rocky Mountains surrounded by pristine wilderness.

We are looking for extraordinary people willing to help citizens
defend themselves from the self-serving antics of political candidates
while having the experience of a lifetime.

We have already begun processing spring and summer internship
applications. Internships can begin at any time fitting the student's
schedule. Please visit our web site at www.votesmart.org for more
information and to download an application. Students should submit
their application, cover letter, resume, and three references to
internshipmt@votesmart.org or by mail to One Common Ground,
Philipsburg, MT 59858.
