Hey Charles,

I know you already sent something from TOPP on to the job-opps list a
few months ago. I just wanted to pass along the opportunity again.
We're hiring full-time developers for next year (starting in or after
the summer) and we also have summer internship positions available for
current (non-graduating) students.

Either is a great opportunity: our work is quite interesting and
challenging, employees are treated great, and everyone at the company
is fun, young, and motivated to change the world. I think it would be
a great fit for many Swatties, imho a much better option than the
average for-profit corporate environment (yes, even Google!).

Anyone who's interested in talking more about what we do can feel free
to get in touch with me at egj@sccs.swarthmore.edu .

Thanks,
Ethan

Jobs at The Open Planning Project - Design Beautiful Tools for Change

Think technology can change the world? Then come join us! *The Open
Planning Project* (TOPP) is a tech non-profit building digital tools
for real-world change. We draw inspiration from the ideas and tools of
the open source software movement, and we think that open source
technology can (and must!) grease the wheels of democracy.

We seek talented individuals for fulfilling careers and internships
working on OpenPlans, our youngest project. OpenPlans is an wiki-based
suite of web tools built with the active citizen in mind. Built to
help social change organizations "get things done," OpenPlans is a
toolbelt for online collaboration, project management, and
communications. We're focused on usability, as our tools must be a joy
to use. We get to measure the success of our work not by shareholder
earnings but by impact. And we're growing.

Run like a start-up, we invest in the best people and treat them
right. Our West Village offices are home to some of the most fun and
passionate people in New York. TOPP has competitive salaries and great
benefits (all the basics, plus 5 weeks vacation and lunch is on us).
More importantly, we offer a challenge: to build great software that
has the potential to change the status quo.

For full job descriptions, visit: topp.openplans.org/careers

If you are a talented *interaction designer* or *programmer* who
wants to make a difference, please send your resume (including GPA)
and a good cover letter to jobs@openplans.org . We're interested in
learning more about you than just what will fit on a resume.
