The candidate will be part of a team responsible for building, monitoring, and maintaining Unix systems. Responsibilities * Work as part of a team of computer professionals and with a diverse user community to identify, plan, implement and support systems for QA, engineering, data warehouse, web site, and feeds processing * Participate in the off-hours on-call rotation cycle Requirements * 2-5 years Solaris experience * Experience in shell and Perl scripting * Ability to use standard UNIX performance tools to analyze system performance * Basic knowledge of Unix security * Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking * Experience administering DNS, Apache and postfix is required * Strong fault analysis/determination and problem solving skills * Excellent teamwork, communication and documentation skills * Ability to be a self-starter and to take initiative in critical situations * Demonstrated ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal supervision * VCS, JBoss, Linux or Oracle administration experience a plus * Production data center operations a plus ________________________________________________________________________
