Hi. Please feel free to share the following email with students who might
be interested in hearing what a Swat alum has to say about Amazon and life
after Swarthmore.

Thanks you for your help.
Regards,
Erin

Dear Swarthmore Senior,

Please join me at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening (10/19/04) in the Career
Services Workshop Room, Parrish 159 to discuss work life after
Swarthmore. I'll be describing some job opportunities at Amazon.com (see
attached job descriptions for examples), but I hope to discuss more than
just Amazon. We can talk about questions like
   * How did a political science / Asian studies major end up doing
computer science and operations research at Amazon.com?
   * What's the difference between academic research and industrial
research?
   * Why you might consider joining a company like Amazon.com, even though
retailers on the web are not particularly cool or interesting.
I will be on campus on Wednesday (10/20/04) conducting interviews and
meeting with students about other things as well. Students will be able to
sign up for a time slot to meet with me at the information session.

I look forward to meeting you.
