FYI.

Evan graduated last year. If he is loving it, it is likely a
nice place to work.

Hi Prof. Kelemen,

Could you pass this on to the job-opps list?

Hey everyone,

The company I'm working for, Salesforce.com, is hiring like
mad. We offer web-based CRM, which is Customer Relations Management. I
didn't really understand what that meant until I started working here,
but to boil it down: Sales and Marketing in companies need to keep
track of their contacts, and a lot of other data associated with their
sales efforts. Our product allows them to keep track of their data
on-line, and to share all their information with everyone else in their
company; high-level execs can get reports on how their sales teams are
doing, etc. Our web-based approach has major advantages over other
(offline) CRM software, which must be installed and customized for each
individual company.

Salesforce.com is one of the few survivors of the dot.com
bust. The company is growing rapidly, but there are still only 35
people or so in the development team; it feels like a much smaller
company than it is, day-to-day. We're based in San Francisco (the city
proper, not Silicon Valley), and I'm loving both the company and the
city. If you're interested, send resumes or any questions to me at
emoses@salesforce.com.
