This NSF REU-RMS site, in collaboration with faculty from Humboldt's Computing Science, Mathematics, and Engineering departments, will host eight undergraduate research interns, and is open to undergraduates who have completed a sophomore or junior year of study in Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics. This program's objective is to increase the number of future professionals in computer science, mathematics, engineering and natural resource sciences from traditionally underrepresented groups (women and minorities). Humboldt State plans a practical and inspiring summer research experience for the selected interns, to reinforce and supplement their regular course of study, to build their leadership and teamwork skills, and to motivate them to go on to pursue graduate studies. Please encourage your students to consider this wonderful opportunity. Application materials and other information are available at: http://www.humboldt.edu/~reu-rms ...and the deadline for applications is April 22nd.
