Subject: Bluefin job opp

Lisa & Bruce,

So I'm the last Swattie left at Bluefin
(http://www.bluefinrobotics.com), although at one time there were four
of us. We've got a pile of great projects on our plate, we're in
Boston, and we get to go to sea. What more can I say?

If you like, send resumes to me (than@bluefinrobotics.com) and I'll make
sure they get looked at.

Thanks,
Nathaniel

Job Description
Bluefin Robotics is a fast growing medium sized company specializing in
the design, development, and manufacture of Autonomous Underwater
Vehicles (AUVs). These un-manned, un-tethered vehicles are designed to
reach the ocean depths, mining data for scientific research, commercial
exploration, and naval warfare. Bluefin has research and development
programs to develop smaller vehicles with advanced sensor payloads and
extended mission times. The company is engineer-led with a strong
emphasis on product reliability, function and performance. The 60
employees enjoy a fast, dynamic, and challenging work environment with
excellent prospects for personal and professional development. Bluefin
is located in the heart of Cambridge, Massachusetts and conducts marine
operations out of Quincy.

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer. Candidates should have
excellent development skills, with experience with C++, Windows, and
Linux. Enthusiasm for robotics and autonomy is important. The ability to
work well with Bluefin's software team is critical. Projects will focus
on development and support of both onboard vehicle software and operator
tools and interfaces. Strong communication skills are a must, along with
the ability to interact with customers in fixing fielded systems.
Developers work primarily in our Cambridge office, but participation in
at-sea testing of vehicles and new software will occasionally be
required. Experience with robotics or other hardware-intensive systems
is a plus, as is experience within a particular relevant domain (dynamic
control, navigation, artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, or GUI
development).
